Overview

Your Leaseora profile contains important information about you and your account. Keeping your profile up-to-date ensures that you receive relevant communications, maintain proper access to your properties, and have a personalized experience on the platform. This guide explains how to manage your profile settings effectively.

Accessing Your Profile

There are two ways to access your profile settings:

  1. Click on your profile picture or initials in the top-right corner of any page, then select "Profile Settings" from the dropdown menu.
  2. Navigate to "Settings" in the main sidebar menu, then select "Profile" from the submenu.

Managing Your Personal Information

Basic Information

To update your basic personal information:

  1. Navigate to the "Basic Information" section of your profile.
  2. Here you can update:
    • First and last name
    • Display name (how your name appears to others on the platform)
    • Email address (requires verification if changed)
    • Phone number
    • Date of birth
    • Preferred language
    • Time zone
  3. Make your desired changes.
  4. Click "Save Changes" at the bottom of the section.

Important: If you change your email address, you'll need to verify the new address before the change takes effect. A verification link will be sent to your new email address.

Profile Picture

Your profile picture helps others identify you on the platform. To update your profile picture:

  1. Click on the profile picture area in your profile settings.
  2. Select "Upload New Picture" from the options.
  3. Choose an image file from your device (supported formats: JPG, PNG, GIF; maximum size: 5MB).
  4. Use the cropping tool to adjust how your image appears.
  5. Click "Save" to apply your new profile picture.

You can also select "Remove Picture" to delete your current profile picture and revert to the default initials display.

Address Information

Keeping your address information current is important, especially for property managers and owners:

  1. Navigate to the "Address Information" section of your profile.
  2. Enter or update your:
    • Street address
    • City
    • State/Province
    • Postal/ZIP code
    • Country
  3. If your mailing address is different from your physical address, check the "Use different mailing address" box and enter your mailing address details.
  4. Click "Save Changes" when finished.

Professional Information

For property managers and real estate professionals, adding your professional information enhances your profile:

  1. Navigate to the "Professional Information" section.
  2. Enter or update:
    • Job title
    • Company name
    • Company website
    • Professional licenses (e.g., real estate license number)
    • Years of experience
    • Professional bio
  3. Click "Save Changes" when finished.

Managing Account Preferences

Communication Preferences

Control how and when Leaseora communicates with you:

  1. Navigate to the "Communication Preferences" section.
  2. Choose your preferred contact method for different types of notifications (email, SMS, in-app).
  3. Select which types of communications you want to receive:
    • Account notifications
    • Property alerts
    • Maintenance updates
    • Payment notifications
    • Marketing communications
    • Newsletter
  4. Set your preferred frequency for digest emails (daily, weekly, never).
  5. Click "Save Preferences" when finished.

Note: Some critical account notifications cannot be disabled as they contain important information about your account security or legal obligations.

Display Preferences

Customize how the Leaseora platform appears to you:

  1. Navigate to the "Display Preferences" section.
  2. Choose your preferred:
    • Theme (Light, Dark, or System Default)
    • Dashboard layout
    • Date format
    • Currency display
    • Measurement units (Imperial or Metric)
  3. Click "Save Preferences" when finished.

Social Media and External Accounts

You can connect your social media and other external accounts to Leaseora for easier login and enhanced functionality:

  1. Navigate to the "Connected Accounts" section.
  2. Click "Connect" next to the service you want to link:
    • Google
    • Facebook
    • Apple
    • Microsoft
    • LinkedIn
  3. Follow the authentication process for the selected service.
  4. Once connected, you'll see a "Connected" status and the option to disconnect.

To disconnect an account, click "Disconnect" next to the service and confirm your choice.

Profile Privacy Settings

Control what information is visible to others on the platform:

  1. Navigate to the "Privacy Settings" section.
  2. For each type of information, select who can view it:
    • Public (visible to anyone on the platform)
    • Connected Users (visible only to users you have a connection with)
    • Private (visible only to you)
  3. Click "Save Privacy Settings" when finished.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I change my password?

Password changes are managed in the Security Settings section, not in Profile Management. Navigate to Settings > Security to change your password.

What happens if I change my email address?

When you change your email address, a verification link is sent to the new address. Your email will not be updated until you click this verification link. Until verified, notifications will continue to be sent to your old email address.

Can I have multiple profiles for different properties?

No, each user has one profile on Leaseora. However, if you manage properties in different capacities (e.g., as an individual landlord and as part of a property management company), you can create separate organizations within your account and switch between them.

Who can see my profile information?

This depends on your privacy settings. By default, basic information like your name and profile picture are visible to users connected to your properties, while detailed information is private. You can adjust these settings in the Privacy Settings section.
