Notification Preferences
Overview
Leaseora sends various notifications to keep you informed about your properties, tenants, payments, and account activities. This guide explains how to customize your notification preferences to ensure you receive the information that matters most to you, delivered in the way you prefer.
Accessing Notification Preferences
To access your notification preferences:
- Click on your profile picture or initials in the top-right corner of any page.
- Select "Settings" from the dropdown menu.
- Click on "Notifications" in the left sidebar menu.
Notification Delivery Methods
Leaseora offers multiple ways to receive notifications. You can choose which methods you prefer for different types of notifications:
- Email: Notifications sent to your registered email address
- SMS/Text: Text messages sent to your registered mobile number
- In-App: Notifications displayed within the Leaseora platform
- Push Notifications: Alerts sent to your mobile device if you have the Leaseora app installed
Setting Up Delivery Methods
Before configuring specific notifications, ensure your delivery methods are set up correctly:
- Navigate to the "Delivery Methods" section in Notification Preferences.
- Verify your email address is correct (or update it if needed).
- Add or verify your mobile number for SMS notifications.
- Enable or disable push notifications for your devices.
- Click "Save Changes" when finished.
Important: If you change your email address or phone number, you'll need to verify the new contact information before notifications can be sent to it.
Customizing Notification Categories
Leaseora organizes notifications into several categories. You can customize each category independently:
Property Notifications
These notifications relate to your properties and units:
- New property inquiries
- Property status changes
- Inspection reminders
- Property alerts (from IoT devices, if connected)
- Occupancy changes
To customize property notifications:
- Navigate to the "Property Notifications" section.
- For each notification type, select your preferred delivery methods (email, SMS, in-app, push).
- Set the notification frequency where applicable (immediate, daily digest, weekly digest).
- Click "Save Property Notification Settings".
Tenant Notifications
These notifications relate to your tenants and their activities:
- New tenant applications
- Tenant messages and communications
- Tenant document submissions
- Lease agreement activities
- Tenant profile updates
To customize tenant notifications:
- Navigate to the "Tenant Notifications" section.
- For each notification type, select your preferred delivery methods.
- Set the notification frequency where applicable.
- Click "Save Tenant Notification Settings".
Financial Notifications
These notifications relate to payments, rent, and financial activities:
- Rent payments received
- Late payment alerts
- Payment reminders
- Expense tracking

To customize system and account notifications:
- Navigate to the "System & Account Notifications" section.
- For each notification type, select your preferred delivery methods.
- Set the notification frequency where applicable.
- Click "Save System Notification Settings".
Note: Some critical account and security notifications cannot be disabled as they contain important information about your account security or legal obligations.
Notification Schedules and Quiet Hours
You can set specific times when you want to receive notifications and designate "quiet hours" when notifications are suppressed:
- Navigate to the "Notification Schedule" section.
- Set your preferred active hours for different notification types.
- Define quiet hours when you don't want to receive notifications (except for critical alerts).
- Specify time zone settings to ensure notifications arrive at appropriate times.
- Click "Save Schedule Settings".
Notification Digests
Instead of receiving individual notifications, you can opt for digest summaries:
- Navigate to the "Notification Digests" section.
- Choose which notification categories you want to receive as digests.
- Select your preferred digest frequency:
- Daily (choose morning, afternoon, or evening delivery)
- Weekly (choose your preferred day of the week)
- Monthly (choose your preferred day of the month)
- Click "Save Digest Settings".
Managing Notification History
You can view and manage your past notifications:
- Click on the bell icon in the top navigation bar to view recent notifications.
- Click "View All Notifications" to access your complete notification history.
- Use filters to sort notifications by type, date, or status.
- Mark notifications as read or unread.
- Delete notifications you no longer need.
Frequently Asked Questions
Why am I not receiving email notifications?
Check that your email address is correct and verified in your profile settings. Also, check your spam or junk folder, and add support@leaseora.com to your email contacts or safe senders list. If you still don't receive emails, contact our support team.
Can I temporarily pause all notifications?
Yes, you can enable "Do Not Disturb" mode in your notification settings. This will pause all non-critical notifications until you turn it off. Critical security notifications will still be delivered.
How do I set up notifications for specific properties only?
In the Property Notifications section, click "Advanced Settings" to configure notifications on a per-property basis. This allows you to receive different types of notifications for different properties in your portfolio.
Will my team members receive the same notifications as me?
No, notification preferences are set individually for each user account. Team members can configure their own notification preferences based on their role and responsibilities.
