Password Security
Your password is the first line of defense for your Leaseora account. Creating and maintaining a strong password is essential for keeping your account secure.
Creating a Strong Password
A strong password should:
- Be at least 12 characters long
- Include a mix of uppercase and lowercase letters
- Contain numbers and special characters
- Not include easily guessable information (like your name or birthdate)
- Not be used for multiple accounts
Changing Your Password
To change your password:
- Go to your Account Settings
- Select the "Security" tab
- Click on "Change Password"
- Enter your current password and your new password
- Click "Save Changes"
We recommend changing your password every 3-6 months for optimal security.
Two-Factor Authentication
Two-factor authentication (2FA) adds an extra layer of security to your account by requiring a second form of verification beyond your password.
Setting Up 2FA
Leaseora offers several 2FA methods:
- Authenticator App - Use apps like Google Authenticator or Authy to generate time-based codes
- SMS Verification - Receive a code via text message
- Email Verification - Receive a code via email
To enable 2FA:
- Go to Account Settings > Security
- Click "Enable Two-Factor Authentication"
- Choose your preferred method
- Follow the on-screen instructions to complete setup
Once enabled, you'll be required to provide the second factor when logging in from a new device or after a certain period.
Monitoring Account Activity
Regularly monitoring your account activity can help you detect unauthorized access and potential security breaches.
Viewing Login History
To view your login history:
- Go to Account Settings > Security
- Click on "Login Activity"
This page shows recent logins with details like:
- Date and time

If you notice any suspicious activity, you should immediately:
- Change your password
- Enable 2FA (if not already enabled)
- Contact Leaseora support
